This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead production planning across three manufacturing facilities while driving the evolution of our planning systems and processes.
This is a strategic leadership role for someone who enjoys improving operations, optimizing ERP/MRP systems, and implementing Lean manufacturing principles—all while ensuring customer commitments are met.
- Lead production planning and scheduling across three facilities.
- Develop capacity plans that align labour, materials, and customer demand.
- Drive the transition from manual planning to an integrated ERP/MRP environment.
- Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production performance, resolve bottlenecks, and improve operational flow.
- Manage inventory planning and production reporting.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure seamless execution.
- Coach and support production supervisors across multiple locations.
- Travel periodically between facilities to support operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of production planning or manufacturing operations experience.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ERP and MRP experience (Business Central is an asset).
- Experience implementing process improvements—not just maintaining existing systems.
- Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
- Excellent planning, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ideal experience includes:
- Heavy equipment, steel fabrication, or custom manufacturing.
- Engineer-to-order or make-to-order environments.
- Complex production planning with non-repetitive manufacturing.
- $105K to $120K + bonus
- Annual bonus of up to 10%.
