This role is a maternity leave coverage (up to 12 months) with the opportunity to become permanent at the end of the term.
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager responsible for driving strategic growth by building and maintaining strong partner relationships, expanding outreach opportunities, and supporting multiple healthcare-focused divisions through effective account management and innovative engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent, professional, and value-driven communication
- Set performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
Business Development Strategy:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing partner sites while proactively identifying, engaging, and onboarding new potential partners
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide business development efforts
- Oversee account performance, ensuring partnerships are maintained, optimized, and aligned with organizational goals
- Develop and execute creative, outside-the-box outreach strategies to expand market presence and partnership opportunities
Relationship Management:
- Manage and support accounts across multiple divisions, including medical supplies, optical, diagnostic imaging, hearing care, and pharmacy
- Maintain strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and manage a diverse portfolio of accounts
- Represent Medicine Place Pharmacy Plus at industry events and conferences relevant to Diagnostic Imaging.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Deliver regular reporting and insights on business development activities, account performance, and growth opportunities
- Analyze sales data and identify trends to inform strategic decision-making
- Prepare regular reports for senior management
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing new business deals, with experience in Diagnostic Imaging highly desirable.

- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, collaborative, and flexible approach.

- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for business.
