POSITION TITLE: SECURITY WORKER

WAGE RATE: $28.667 – $29.524
Reporting to the Manager Support Services, the Security Worker safeguards and protects patients, visitors, employees, business information and physical assets from harm, loss or malicious damage.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
Required
- Successful completion of a minimum 2 year diploma or degree in Law and Security/Police Foundations from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Licensed as defined by the Private Security and Investigative Service Act, 2005
- Current Code White and Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI Certification) or willingness to obtain
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions and meet strict timelines
- Ability to meet multiple demands and prioritize duties independently with little supervision
- Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques (to be tested)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and at other sites as required
- Ability to wear the required safety footwear and personal protective equipment
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
