Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Camp Counselors / French Language Activity Assistants to support our summer camp programs. This role involves engaging children in educational and recreational activities, fostering a positive environment for learning and fun. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, enjoy teaching, and possess basic knowledge of French language activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in early childhood education and tutoring within a vibrant camp setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in organizing French language activities, games, and lessons tailored for children of various ages
- Support campers during daily activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and cultural exchange
- Assist with supervising children during outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
- Collaborate with staff to plan age-appropriate educational activities that promote language learning and cultural awareness
- Provide tutoring or support in early childhood education topics as needed
- Serve as a positive role model demonstrating enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced French language skills preferred
- Interest in education, childcare, languages, or community engagement
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Experience working with children

Pay: $17.20-$29.87 per hour
