We are seeking an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of our bar operations and uphold the highest standards of service, professionalism, and beverage execution.
This role is suited for a hospitality professional who combines strong operational discipline with excellent bar knowledge, team leadership, and polished guest service.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Bar Manager will support the Bar Manager and General Manager in overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service flow, strong team performance, inventory control, and consistency across all beverage offerings.
Leadership and Operations
- Support day-to-day bar operations, including service setup, opening and closing duties, and bar readiness.
- Lead and support bartenders, barbacks, and service staff during service.
- Ensure coordination between the bar, Front of House, kitchen, and management teams.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and efficient bar environment.
- Assist with training, coaching, and performance support for the bar team.
Beverage and Guest Experience
- Ensure cocktails, spirits, wines, zero-proof beverages, and other bar offerings are prepared and presented to standard.
- Support a refined, engaging, and guest-focused bar experience.
- Assist with beverage training, menu knowledge, and service standards.
- Bring strong cocktail and mixology knowledge, including classic cocktails, modern techniques, garnish, glassware, ice, and presentation.
- Address guest feedback with professionalism and care.
Reporting
- Work closely with the Bar Manager, General Manager, Head Mixologist, and Ownership team.
- Communicate operational needs, staffing concerns, guest feedback, and inventory updates.
- Support private dining, events, and high-volume service periods.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bar experience, preferably in upscale, fine dining, luxury hospitality, cocktail bar, or high-volume restaurant environments.
- Previous supervisory, lead bartender, or assistant bar management experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service.
- Strong mixology foundation with an understanding of classic cocktails, modern cocktail techniques, presentation, batching, prep, and consistency.
- Experience with inventory, ordering, wastage control, and cost management is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, guest service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required.
- Knowledge of South Asian cuisine, premium dining, or luxury hospitality concepts is an asset but not required.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
