Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role involves supporting children's developmental needs, implementing educational activities, and providing attentive caregiving to promote their well-being and growth. Experience in early childhood education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. The Child Care Worker plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for children and supporting their families.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during activities and playtime
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
- Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene as needed
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom or activity area
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance when necessary
- Observe and document children's development to inform ongoing care plans
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with safety protocols in childcare environments is essential
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences tailored to diverse needs and abilities
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
