Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing operation in the Aurora, ON area. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with a strong blend of electrical, mechanical, PLC, and equipment troubleshooting experience, particularly within plastics, containers, or injection molding environments.
The Maintenance Technician will support reliable production by keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and consistently. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment used in plastics and injection molding manufacturing.
- Diagnose electrical, PLC, sensor, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to support continuous equipment operation.
- Respond to service calls, machine faults, resets, and equipment performance issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs according to maintenance schedules and production needs.
- Work closely with production, maintenance leadership, and operations teams to improve uptime, safety, and machine reliability.
- Document maintenance activities, repair details, parts usage, and equipment concerns in accordance with company procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire position.
- Pay rate: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.
- Straight afternoon shift, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
- 80/20 benefits plan.
- RRSP with 2 percent company match.
- 10 vacation days.
- Discretionary bonus available after 3 months, paid quarterly based on performance KPIs and profit.
