Millwright foreman
We have the perfect position for you! We are currently looking for a Maintenance Foreman in our Oakbank peat moss plant. This role leads maintenance operations daily, ensuring the optimal performance of equipment within a fast-paced industrial environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Ensure all preventive and planned maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Provide strong leadership by coaching and mentoring team members, addressing performance concerns, and ensuring accountability for assigned tasks and objectives.
- Coordinate and schedule the maintenance team on a rotating basis to support production. requirements and schedules and maintain adequate maintenance coverage to respond promptly to unplanned equipment breakdowns and operational issues.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan and implement continuous improvement projects involving site buildings, equipment, and yard operations.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, and schematics to install and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform and assist in general maintenance to support the team when required.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide documentation and reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post secondary education with a professional certification in Industrial Mechanics, equivalent skills and working experience may be considered.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electronics, controls, and troubleshooting.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees, foster teamwork, and effectively coordinate diverse work groups.
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software for documentation, reporting, and maintenance tracking.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
