Duties
- Load and unload lumber and building materials using forklifts while adhering to safety protocols
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move large loads safely around the yard
- Maintain a clean, organized yard environment by stacking lumber properly and ensuring clear pathways for safe movement
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
Skills
- Strong customer service and proven knowledge of building materials a definite asset
- Skilled in operating forklifts an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively
