Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Offset Pressperson to join our manufacturing team in and run our Heidelberg SM74 and GTO. We're seeking an experienced person who takes pride in producing high-quality printed products while working efficiently in a fast-paced commercial print environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for press setup, operation, quality control, and routine maintenance while working closely with our production team to meet customer deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate sheet-fed offset printing presses.
- Maintain consistent color quality and registration throughout production runs.
- Read and interpret job tickets and production schedules.
- Perform press adjustments and troubleshoot print quality issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure finished work meets customer expectations.
- Work collaboratively with prepress, bindery, and production staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial offset press experience is required.
- Experience operating Heidelberg or similar sheet-fed presses is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of color management and print quality.
- Mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
