Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance. This role involves designing beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, managing retail sales, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The Floral Designer will play a key role in enhancing our store’s visual appeal and ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative floral solutions.
Duties
- Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and daily retail sales, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing bouquets that meet their needs and preferences.
- Manage retail sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and merchandising.
- Maintain the floral display area, ensuring it is organized, clean, and visually appealing.
- Support landscape maintenance tasks as needed to enhance the overall appearance of the store environment.
- Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal displays and promotional events.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering gardening advice, and fostering positive relationships.
- Stay informed about current trends in floral design, gardening, horticulture, and e-commerce platforms to improve offerings and customer engagement.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and retail sales operations.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and merchandising principles.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
- Experience with customer service, sales techniques, and cashiering is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online orders or promotions is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
