Job Description: As a Steel Roof Service Technician at Hy-Grade, you'll be responsible for addressing and fixing roofing issues, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding our company's image in the community. You'll work closely with the Service Manager, following written and verbal directions, and always adhering to Hy-Grade safety policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager regarding roofing issues.
- Gather and prepare/order materials needed for tasks.
- Pack the service vehicle safely with required materials and tools.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring understanding of the problem.
- Adhere to safety policies, including hazard forms and pre-work check-ins.
- Complete tasks to ensure customer satisfaction, documenting progress with before-and-after pictures.
- Keep the vehicle clean, drive safely to job sites, and perform quality control inspections.
- Provide thorough reports to the Service Manager after each job.
- Act as a Quality Control Inspector, including inspections at completed customer homes.

- Servicing all Southern Ontario
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm
- Friday 7am-1:30pm
- Overtime
- No Weekends
Salary:
- $25.00 - $30.00/hour (Driving time included)
Job Requirements:Required:
- G license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Basic hand tools. ie hammer, pouch, snips
- Cordless drill or impact drill
Preferred:
- Experience or post secondary education in roofing, construction or maintenance related field.
- Experience or education working at heights.
Hy-Grade Provided Training:
- Fall arrest training.
- Steel roofing system installation training
- Steel roofing service training
