Join our Calhoun team as an Apparel Screen Printer Trainee/Factory Float, where you will develop essential skills in screen printing and factory operations. This entry-level role offers a opportunity to learn the the process of screen printing and support various production processes.
Duties
- Assist with setup and operation of screen printing equipment, ensuring proper registration and alignment when completing a printing task
- Prepare colour for printing by following colour breakdown when mixing ink
- Maintain quality control by inspecting printed garments for consistency, color accuracy, and defect detection
- Complete equipment maintenance including cleaning screens, squeegees, and other tools to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety standards and quality specifications
- learn other factory operations such as end of dryer inspection, heat press and DTF printing
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic learner with a keen interest in screen printing, graphic design, or textile manufacturing
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles and layout design is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and work diligently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control and safety procedures
- Job requires printing trainee to stand for long periods of time and to be comfortable working around moving equipment
- Prior experience in manufacturing or print advertising is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
