You can contribute to the future of the agriculture industry by becoming a Field Representative with Viterra. As a Field Representative, you are responsible in coordination with your manager to develop a customer base within a geographic area to source edible beans for delivery. You will assist in the production of edible beans in your area, giving insight on production practices and in-season agronomy. You will develop and maintain effective business relationships with existing and potential new customers while educating and delivering information on edible bean production. You are expected to work with customers and internal operation employees to coordinate the production and movement of edible beans as it relates to facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for managing a client base within an area to meet and exceed production targets.

Pro-actively seek to become involved in the business decision-making process of targeted customers.

Maintain and analyze a database/record of customer profiles in order to identify, categorize, and prioritize customer contacts.

Arrange for customer learning opportunities that provide incremental value.

Keep informed of competitor activities within the production area, and recommend marketing program and service revisions.

Coordinate the movement of grain and related administrative requirements in conjunction with customers and operations staff.
Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential future customers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Efficient in MS office and experience utilizing relevant computer software programs.

Knowledge in agronomy and crop production.
Education and Qualifications:
-
Experience in agri-business and/or other related customer service functions.

Diploma/Degree in Agriculture or equivalent post-secondary education.

Designation as a P. Ag or CCA or ability to acquire P. Ag or CCA
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
