Carpenter/Cabinetmaker – Custom Residential & Commercial Millwork
Location: Aurora, ON (Allaura Blvd & Industrial Pkwy N area)
Pay: $26–$30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Morning Shift
Job Overview
We are currently hiring an experienced Cabinetmaker to join a well-established and growing millwork team in Aurora. This is a hands-on role working on both custom residential and commercial projects, from shop fabrication through to final installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble custom cabinetry and millwork for kitchens, built-ins, and commercial interiors
- Interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Operate woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, CNC machines, and edge banders
- Perform detailed hand work including fitting, trimming, and finishing
- Apply laminates and veneers to cabinet components
- Complete on-site installations, ensuring precise fit, alignment, and finish
- Conduct quality checks throughout production and installation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cabinetmaking or custom millwork
- Experience working on both residential and commercial projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Skilled with woodworking tools, machinery, and materials
- Experience with site installation, including scribing and adjustments
- CNC experience is an asset
- Trade certification or apprenticeship is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (team lifts when required)
- Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive tasks
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders during installations
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with dust and noise (PPE provided)
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
