Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food safety standards, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve culinary skills and uphold quality standards
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment at all times
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the food industry
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety practices, handling procedures, and sanitation standards
- Excellent understanding of the food industry trends and customer service principles
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and leadership
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is required; hospitality background is preferred
- Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and culinary excellence
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
