The Village of Fundy-St. Martins is seeking applications for the position of Maintenance Coordinator. The role of the Maintenance Coordinator is to provide maintenance services for infrastructure located within the Village of Fundy-St. Martins (VOFSM). This role prolongs the lifespan of municipal assets and ensures these assets are properly maintained for the public’s use and enjoyment.
· This is a full-time (40 hrs/week), term position (1-Year) reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer.
· Candidates should note that the position will require evening and weekend work related to maintenance of facilities.
· The term of the position may be extended beyond the initial 6-month contract.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Duties and responsibilities:
· Identification and scheduling of maintenance tasks, preparation of work schedules for self and other seasonal maintenance staff.
· Cleaning/maintenance of municipally-owned buildings, properties, equipment, and roadways, including:
o Cleaning/maintenance of Municipal Office/FireHall
o Cleaning/Maintenance of 4-Seasons Centre
o Cleaning/maintenance of Visitor Centre
o (Seasonal) Snow removal, salting/sanding for municipal facilities
o (Seasonal) Landscape maintenance for municipal grounds, sidewalks and facilities
· Collection and disposal of municipal garbage/waste
· Safe operation and maintenance of municipal tools and equipment
· Reporting and record keeping, including but not limited to;
o Preparation and submission of time sheets
o Preparation and storage of maintenance records for municipal equipment and facilities
· Training and education, including but not limited to;
o Obtaining training to improve workplace safety
o Obtaining training to increase and diversify skills
Skills and abilities:
· Ability to work outdoors including in adverse weather conditions (heat/cold/rain)
· Ability to complete physically demanding tasks (strength, endurance)
· Ability to work independently, self-directed (identifies priorities, manages/tracks progress)
· Ability to maintain a safe working environment and to conduct work in a safe manner
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
