Job Description
Exuding professional grace, expertise and warmth at every opportunity, our team will work together to forge an honest connection between the kitchen and the table. Taking an authentic and elevated approach to hospitality, we are looking for a Fine-Dining Server Assistant who intuitively adapt to the unique needs of each guest and ensure everybody leaves feeling that their experience was well worth the journey.
What you will be doing:
- expertly answering questions about food, beverage, wine and other restaurant functions and services
- proficiently assisting with food running that plates arrive to the proper guest, using table and seat numbers, without needing to “auction off” dishes
- emptying garbage, linen bags and disposing of garbage and recycling
- monitoring the cleanliness of sections and ensuring all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
- professionally communicating with servers and hosts to maximize seating
- communicating to all servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
- keenly following all food safety standards and systems
- other similar duties as required from time to time
The person we are looking for has:
- previous experience in a luxury or fine dining restaurant (required)
- ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- organizational skills
- ability to take direction and prioritize a variety of tasks at once
- strong oral communication skills
- high level of product knowledge
