Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic to join our automotive service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and development opportunities for individuals interested in building a career in automotive repair and maintenance. The Apprentice Mechanic will assist senior technicians with various repair tasks, learn industry-standard techniques, and develop essential mechanical skills in a dynamic dealership environment.
Duties
- Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to support repair tasks
- Learn to disassemble and assemble vehicle components following manufacturer specifications
- Support heavy lifting and moving of parts or equipment safely
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Gain familiarity with dealership processes, customer service standards, and technical documentation
Experience
- Prior experience in automotive repair or dealership environment is preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong interest in automotive maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
- Excellent customer service skills are desirable for interacting with clients professionally
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for assembly and repair procedures
- Previous experience with vehicle assembly or maintenance projects is advantageous
