Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <PERSON> Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves ensuring the quality and precision of finished products through various finishing processes. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing and assembly techniques. Responsibilities
- Mix and match stain colors based on customer samples and specifications.
- Adjust sanding machine settings and working height to ensure product quality.
- Set up and monitor wood finishing equipment.
- Inspect finished products for color consistency and surface quality.
- Troubleshoot finishing and sanding issues during production.
- Work with the production team to improve efficiency and quality.
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements
- Proven experience with manufacturing processes, machining, or assembly work preferred
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with welding, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely
- Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Prior experience in welding or mechanical repair is advantageous
