Job Summary
The ideal We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cross Border Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage freight shipments across international borders. the Ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, tracking, and communicating with drivers, clients, and carriers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain operations. The dispatcher will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Coordinate cross-border freight shipments by scheduling pickups and deliveries with drivers, carriers, and clients.
- Utilize transportation management systems such as Transplus ,Loadlink , and other TMS platforms to track shipments, update statuses, find freight and manage documentation.
- Enter data accurately into shipping & receiving databases and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
- Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear phone etiquette when liaising with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Monitor shipment progress and troubleshoot issues related to freight delays or customs clearance.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize routes and improve overall logistics efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with shipping regulations and customs requirements for cross-border transportation.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities as needed to support warehouse operations.
- Analyze shipment data to identify trends or issues that could impact delivery performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transportation management systems such as Transplus , Fleetmanager is preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and 3PL services.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in typing and using multi-line phone systems.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipment data and resolve logistical challenges efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and customs documentation for cross-border freight is a plus.
- Prior experience in Truck dispatching or related roles is a must. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic logistics team dedicated to excellence in cross-border freight management.
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
