MatrixHR is actively seeking highly skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electricians to join a significant full-time project at a leading shipyard in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Compensation & Benefits
- Day Shift Wage: $47.00/hour (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Shift Premiums: Additional $3.00/hour for:
- Night Shift (4:30 PM onwards)
- Back Shift (5:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
- Regular overtime opportunities

Key Responsibilities
As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a critical role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on naval and commercial vessels.
Duties Include:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for power, lighting, controls, signals, and fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with the installation, integration, and commissioning of electrical systems during vessel construction.
- Perform all work in accordance with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Safely handle, lift, carry, and install electrical parts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades to meet project schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to wear full PPE, including a fit-tested respirator, for extended periods.
- Comfortable working safely in confined and restricted spaces.
- Reliable transportation or ability to commute daily to the Halifax shipyard.
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Red Seal or Journeyperson Electrician Certification
- Current Confined Space Entry Certification
- Current Fall Protection Certification
- Current WHMIS Certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance
