Job Summary
Rangers Security Group is currently hiring Full-Time and On-Call Security Guards to join our growing team in the Surrey and Langley area.
We are looking for dependable, professional, and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions under pressure, and responding to incidents with professionalism. This position includes mobile patrols, construction site security, alarm response, CCTV monitoring, and coordination with our 24/7 dispatch team.
Applicants must have a valid BC Security Worker Licence, a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence, a reliable personal vehicle, and full-time availability, including the ability to cover last-minute shifts when required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols of client properties and construction sites.
- Monitor CCTV systems and investigate suspicious activity.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents promptly.
- Coordinate with dispatch, clients, emergency services, and law enforcement when required.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports.
- Perform lock-up and unlock procedures for client properties.
- Enforce site policies and maintain a strong security presence.
- Identify and report safety hazards, security risks, and unsafe work conditions.
- Protect construction materials, tools, equipment, and machinery from theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Assist with training or guiding new team members when required.
- Maintain composure and make sound decisions during high-pressure situations.
Requirements
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle available for work.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Previous construction site security experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness.
- Ability to identify and report safety hazards, security risks, and unsafe work conditions.
- Must always wear and maintain required PPE, including CSA-approved steel-toed boots, high-visibility clothing, and a hard hat while on construction sites.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, machinery, and active construction operations while following all site safety policies.
- Familiarity with construction site access control, equipment security, and theft prevention.
- Full-time availability, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to accept last-minute and emergency shift coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of walking long distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pay: $32.70-$34.00 per hour
