Framework Construction is hiring skilled laborers / Carpenter Apprentice for a hands-on role across a highly diverse range of construction and restoration projects. This is not a repetitive labour position. The role is designed for individuals who want to build real capability in construction, gain exposure to multiple trades and scopes of work, and grow into higher-responsibility positions over time. You will be working in active construction environments where adaptability, work ethic, problem-solving, and initiative are required on a daily basis.
Projects include a wide variety of construction, renovation, restoration, and exterior envelope work ranging from window replacements and repairs, balconies, siding, seasonal roofing, sheet metal and flashing work, structural repairs, waterproofing, foundations, and building envelope remediation, all the way through to larger full-building construction and renovation projects. Work scopes regularly vary from project to project, requiring individuals who are versatile, capable of learning quickly, and comfortable working in changing environments.
The position involves assisting with framing, finishing, demolition, material handling, layout, installations, exterior assemblies, site preparation, and general carpentry and construction work. Depending on experience and capability, you may also assist with waterproofing systems, roofing assemblies, balcony systems, cladding, metal detailing, concrete and foundation-related work, and coordination with other trades. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and be expected to progressively take on more responsibility as your skills and reliability develop.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient job site is a core part of the role, along with operating tools and equipment safely and professionally. Candidates must be physically capable and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, at heights, and in demanding site environments. Reliability, consistency, and a strong willingness to learn are non-negotiable requirements.
Previous carpentry or construction experience is considered an asset but is not mandatory for apprentice-level candidates with the right attitude and commitment. Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring, layout, framing systems, exterior construction, or reading drawings is beneficial. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
This position is not suited for individuals looking for low-effort or repetitive labour work. It is intended for those who want to expand their skillset across multiple areas of construction, become highly capable in the field, and position themselves for long-term growth within the industry.
Framework Construction offers steady work, exposure to multiple trades and scopes of work, and the opportunity to advance into a more skilled and independent role over time. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, capability, reliability, and overall performance.
Apply if you are serious about building a future in construction and are prepared to contribute at a high level.
