This inventory will be used to staff positions at various levels (CR-03 and CR-04) within Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada in Sydney, NS.
Your application in this inventory will be active for 180 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 14 days before the end of your active period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory. This inventory advertisement may also be used for casual employment. Casual employment is a temporary form of employment for a maximum of 90 working days per department in a calendar year.
It is your responsibility, as a candidate, to clearly demonstrate if / how you meet each of the screening criteria by answering the questions in the Screening Questions section of the application. This may take more time than applying to a standard process so please save your information at least once every 45 minutes to keep from timing out and losing your work.
When providing your answers, it is not sufficient to simply state that the qualification is "met" or provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. You must provide concrete specific examples to illustrate how you meet each criterion identified in the questions.
When providing your answers to experience qualifications, you MUST follow this format:
1 - Your answers must include where and how you obtained the required experience.
2 - Your answers must include the period(s) in which you performed the functions of the position(s).
3 - Your answers must include the date format of Month-Year to Month-Year. (This information is needed to help validate that a candidate does indeed have the experience)
4 - Provide the name and contact information for someone who can validate your experience.
You must indicate "NO" if you do not have experience in performing a task listed in the section entitled, "The following may be applied / assessed at a later date (may be needed for the job)". Responding “NO” to one or more of these non-essential experience questions WILL NOT reject your application. However; if when answering “YES” to a non-essential experience question you fail to clearly demonstrate in your answers how you meet the experience this may prevent you from being considered for a specific appointment where asset qualifications would be used.
This office is a production center with high volumes with constant change. There is a constant focus on individual and team productivity in this office. Employees and workers will be expected to meet daily or weekly production targets, after completing a specified period of training and meeting graduated targets. There are work objective for all employees and workers for both quantity and quality of output.
Strong computer skills are necessary as the work is done in an electronic environment.
The majority of positions being staffed through this inventory will be on the evening shift and will be temporary.
Intent of the process
Create a pool of qualified candidates that will be used to staff positions on an indeterminate or temporary basis. This process may be used to establish an essentially assessed pool of candidates which may be used to staff similar or equivalent positions with various linguistic profiles (English Essential; Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB), various security profiles (Reliability; Secret), various tenures (Indeterminate, specified period) using various staffing activities (Indeterminate appointment; Term appointment; Deployment; Secondment; Assignment; or Casual employment) within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Experience working within a production based office environment (high volume intake and output as well as established production targets).
Experience in applying government legislation, regulations policies and procedures.
Experience in the use of computers including data entry.
Experience in creating, verifying and/or updating information on GCMS (Global Case Management System).
Experience in the processing of e-applications.
Experience in the processing of e-applications received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO).
Experience at the CR-04 level reviewing applications that have been submitted for Canadian Citizenship, or Permanent Resident Card or the Centralized Intake Office (CIO).
Experience in providing clerical support in the processing of applications for Canadian Citizenship.
Experience in providing clerical support in the processing of applications for the Centralized Intake Office (CIO).
Experience in providing clerical support in the processing of applications for the Permanent Resident Card (PRC).
