Job Summary
Wildcard Industrial is a small, family owned company based out of Parkland County, near Stony Plain, that is expanding our operations. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team year-round. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks (dump trucks, quad wagons, belly dumps, and B-trains) to transport aggregates and frac sand across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service with a positive attitude. Candidates with experience in off-road oilfield hauling, heavy equipment, or automotive repair are highly valued to support various operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and long-distance aggregate deliveries in a safe and efficient manner
- Correctly complete and submit all company paperwork including logbooks, BOL’s, FLHAs, timesheets, and any other paperwork required
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation duties
- Assist with yard & maintenance operations including washing trucks
- Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for freight handling or yard work
- Availability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, nights, and weekends)
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license
- Clean 5-year commercial drivers abstract
- Prior experience in frac sand or aggregate hauling, B-train or quad wagon, off-road commercial driving, winter driving, oilfield conditions, radio/call roads, or related fields preferred
- Valid safety tickets - First Aid, CSO, H2S Alive, WHMIS, & TDG
- Physically fit (ability to chain up, clean boxes, lay out poly sheets)
- Knowledge of heavy equipment handling, or automotive repair is a plus
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot heavy machinery and automotive systems
- Experience with route planning and safety protocols in transportation environments
- Mechanical or maintenance experience is considered an asset
- Fluent in English
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment & ongoing drug & alcohol test
