Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects including restoration, framing, and finishing work.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and caulking guns to perform construction tasks
- Support carpentry work including framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall setup
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Aid in plumbing, welding, and construction painting tasks as needed
- Help with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to maintain a safe work environment
- Support restoration projects by preparing surfaces and applying finishing techniques
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques is preferred
- Knowledge of carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction painting is a plus
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
- Valid <PERSON> license or reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills such as flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, or welding as needed
