Line Cook/Prep Cook
The Line Cook/Prep Cook position is a key part of our small but dedicated back of house team. You have a keen interest in all things culinary, are enthusiastic to learn, and enjoy collaborating with an active and busy team.
Position: permanent full-time and/or part-time
Reports to: Winery Chef
Pay band: $22-$24
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist winery chef/sous chef with back of house duties as required – inventory management, planning, food prep, etc
· Execute menu production as instructed
· Fill in for various stations as needed
· Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
· Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes as per the standards of the restaurant and provincial / government health authorities
Qualifications
- Strong line cooking skills
- Excellent pride in, and critical eye for plating/presentation
- Strong knife skills
- Foodsafe certification
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
