- Grade 12 education (MB standards)
- Post-secondary education in a health-related discipline relevant to the position
- Two (2) years experience providing customer service in a professional setting
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a staff scheduling capacity (i.e Procura or QHR) in a collective agreement environment
- One (1) year related administrative experience
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology
- Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to work independently

POSITION SUMMARY:
Working within an interdisciplinary team, the Home Care Scheduling Clerk III is responsible for the scheduling and assignment of client visits by the Home Care Direct Service Staff . The Home Care Scheduling Clerk III is also responsible for the administrative functions related to service implementation, scheduling, and maximizing services and resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overview:
- Maintains individual employee schedules in the Electronic Scheduling Program;
- Responds to service requests and changes in services from the Home Care Case Coordinator and or Direct Service Nurse (DSN), and identifies staffing resources available;
- Processes service requests according to priority through consultation with Home Care Case Coordinator and/or DSN;
- Provides assigned worker with assignment information;
- Notifies assigned worker of resumption and/or termination of service;
- Communicates with clients regarding scheduling as needed;
- Maintains Home Care client information in accordance with established guidelines;
- Completes timekeeping responsibilities as applicable;
- Adheres to PHIA and FIPPA legislation;
- Documents concerns and refers to their respective supervisor;
- Responds to calls from staff;
- Plans and coordinates replacement staff as required as per Human Resource Policies and applicable Collective Agreements, consult with the Supervisor as needed;
- Refers employee performance concerns to their respective supervisor;
- Identifies self-learning needs to their respective supervisor as needed;
- Works within the scope of the position;
- Other duties as assigned.
