Overview
This is a part time position, our team is expanding and we are looking for a wonderful hygienist to join our team, two days per week. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, dental hygiene procedures, and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, professional environment where patient education and comfort are prioritized. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive dental services, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall operations of the dental team.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take radiographs as needed
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure infection control standards are upheld
- Manage patient records using Tracker
- Provide support with orthodontic procedures when necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and ready for patient appointments
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with Tracker is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills to create a positive patient experience
