About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a Core Banking Solutions team supporting critical lending and banking applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on strategic initiatives while contributing to the ongoing enhancement and support of SAP-based banking solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.
You'll work alongside a skilled Scrum team, developing high-quality, maintainable ABAP solutions with a strong emphasis on modern development practices, automated testing, and clean, testable code.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP applications using object-oriented programming principles.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, testable code using ABAP Unit and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Support Core Banking business processes, including SAP CML/CMS and SAP HANA-related development where applicable.
- Participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot production issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP object-oriented development.
- Formal ABAP training and/or SAP ABAP certification.
- Experience developing automated unit tests using ABAP Unit.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, and testable ABAP code.
- Familiarity with modern ABAP development best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP CML (Customer/Consumer Loan Management).
- Experience with SAP CMS (Collateral Management System).
- Experience developing on SAP NetWeaver 7.0.
- Experience with SAP HANA Classic modelling and development.
- Experience with RunMyJobs (Redwood) or similar enterprise job scheduling tools.
- Experience working within financial services or core banking environments.
