Travel Requirement: May be required to travel throughout Canada and US to support business needs.

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Leader must embody the values and vision of Britespan supporting the organizational culture. While leading the day-to-day functions of the HR team, this role will support all divisions, leadership, and employees within Britespan by leading and facilitating company policies, procedures, recruitment, and employee relations while operating to foster a healthy company culture based on our core values. Key to the role is formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities
-
Maintain and Develop Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Workflows, and Processes that support consistency and efficiency within the HR department and organization
-
Drive Departmental and Organizational activities and needs associated with the Human Resources
-
Provide direct reports with direction, guidance, and coaching on day-to-day activities by ensuring the team is building positive relationships and credibility across all levels of the organization

Contribute to and develop the organizations’ people’s strategy, focusing on team and culture
-
Develop and execute organizational planning, engagement strategies, succession planning, diversity & inclusion practices, talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, and compensation

Partner closely with Senior Management and Operations Leadership Team, offering advice and direction on go-forward strategies and operational planning
-
Partner with leadership to establish consistent performance management, career planning, and compensation benchmarking
-
Consult, coach, and influence Leaders and Managers in all aspects of their team members’ employees and help drive team effectiveness

Supports organizational and leaderships efforts to effectively manage & lead change

Provide the team with day-to-day guidance and support on more complex HR matters

Provide professional, clear, and constructive communication to employees and leadership

Ensure employee relations issues are resolved appropriately and timely and operate in a closed-loop communication environment

Lead all aspects of employee relations issues sensitively and effectively, by working with leaders, managers, and employment counsel as needed

Identify and problem-solve employee matters strategically, fairly, and thoughtfully

Oversee all HR KPI’s and provide organizational support for other departments

Hire HR team members, and manage performance, coaching, and priorities within the department

Driving a positive HR team environment while executing efficiently and accurately

Responsible for managing such initiatives as the attendance and / or the quality incentive

Support the organization’s safety programs and goals

Driving ADP’s HRIS development

Manage and advise throughout the employment lifecycle, including:

Point of contact for any independent government organizations such as MOL & MOE
