About the Role
As a Hygiene Department Consultant, you will work directly with dentists and leadership teams to assess hygiene department performance and implement strategies that improve:
- Hygiene productivity and scheduling efficiency
- Perio protocols and clinical consistency
- Patient retention and re-care systems
- Treatment flow and doctor handoffs
- Team accountability and workflow systems
- Overall hygiene department profitability and patient experience
This role is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and creating systems that help practices grow.
QualificationsRequired:
- Registered Dental Hygienist with 10+ years of clinical experience
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations and business systems
- Proven track record of growing or optimizing hygiene department performance
- Experience with perio protocols, re-care systems, and patient communication
- Highly driven, self-motivated, and organized
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable analyzing KPIs, schedules, and production metrics
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects
Preferred:
- Experience in practice management or leadership roles
- Knowledge of dental software systems (Cleardent experience considered an asset)
- Experience coaching or mentoring teams
- Consulting or operational improvement experience
