Figure3 is currently seeking a General Accountant
We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a hybrid role reporting directly to the Finance Director, supporting the Finance and Administration team with day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Client Invoicing
Manage full-cycle billing, including fees, sub-consultants, and disbursements
- Create and maintain billing information in ERP systems and related tools
- Collect and organize project-related expense receipts
- Prepare monthly billing reports and perform billing and project reconciliations
- Issue invoices and statements of account to clients in accordance with monthly deadlines
Accounts Payable Support
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices for payment
- Review employee expense reports and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized electronic filing of invoices and payments
- Assist with monthly corporate credit card reconciliations
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including monitoring timesheet completion in ERP
- Enter payroll data into Desjardins payroll system
- Process employee expense reimbursements
Additional Support
- Maintain fixed asset continuity schedules and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy under deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
