Job Title: JuniorProduct Development Engineer
Reports To: Manager of Research and Development
About the Role:
The Junior Product Development Engineer works closely with other members of the R&D Team, and with Sales and Marketing and Manufacturing to design, develop, and maintain our products in a way that maximizes utility and performance while meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements and considering ease of manufacturing. The Junior Product Development Engineer will be responsible for preparing drawings and specifications, testing, maintaining certifications, gathering requirements, and participating in other activities related to the development and introduction of new product options, new products, and new equipment. This role is ideal for an engineering graduate who is passionate about product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the research, design, and development of new window products and components.
Support the improvement of existing products through testing, analysis, and material optimization.
· Work with production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing and implementation of new designs.
· Conduct product performance testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Collaborate with suppliers and vendors on material selection and cost-effective solutions.
· Utilize CAD software to create and modify technical drawings.
· Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal teams and stakeholders.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and sustainability practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, or a related role (internships welcome).
- Proficiency in CAD software .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Excellent teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical aptitude and ability to think logically.
- Demonstrated computer skills and aptitude are required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
