Job Summary:
We supply room and board during your time of work. Have years of carpentry and reno projects. We are located an hour north of Fort st john, BC.
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the masonry and restoration industry, with a strong background in carpentry. This position will involve various duties related to construction and restoration projects.
Duties:
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, flooring installation, cabinet installation, and general construction as well as finishing work.
- Assist with building and repairing structures using schematics and blueprints
- Conduct repairs and renovations on damaged or deteriorating structures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Handle heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Assist with mold remediation and water damage restoration projects
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or Laborer in the construction industry
- Knowledge of masonry and restoration techniques
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including heavy lifting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.
