Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Asbestos Abatement Working Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on leadership role where the successful candidate will actively participate in asbestos abatement activities while supervising and directing crew members on site. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-focused, and able to work flexible hours as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of asbestos abatement supervisory experience, including performing hands-on abatement work
- Proven ability to lead by example while working alongside crew members
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding work
- Valid driver’s licence required – Class 3 preferred or willing to obtain
- Cell phone required
- Completion of secondary (high) school
Certifications Required / Willing to obtain
· Asbestos Abatement Training
· Half/Full Face Respirator Fit Testing
· Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Training
Nice to have
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
- Experience in confined space entry
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience in operation of ariel and platform lifts
Key Responsibilities
- Plans daily work while considering production targets and crew support
- Oversees crew performance, productivity, and safe work practices
- Demonstrates hands-on mentorship and skill development
- Performs asbestos abatement work while supervising daily jobsite activities
- Manages the project to ensure efficiency and completion in a timely manner
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, and project specifications
- Maintains clear communication with management and team members
- Effectively communicates with stakeholders
Employment Details
- Work Location: In person, Travel Required across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario
- Schedule: Days, Evenings and Weekends as per site requirements
- Hours: 40 - 50 hours per week
