Dextel is a Montréal-based digital agency specializing in Websites & Ecommerce — Designed with Purpose. Engineered for Results.
We build solutions on WordPress, Shopify, and custom web platforms for clients in real estate, jewellery, B2B, ecommerce, and other industries. If you enjoy working on a variety of projects, solving problems, and making a real impact, you'll fit right in.
We're Hiring!
We're looking for a bilingual Web Technical Analyst & QA Specialist to join our team.
This is an in-office position based in Montréal, and strong communication skills in both English and French are essential.
The Role
You'll be our go-to technical problem-solver and quality control specialist.
You'll handle client requests, investigate bugs and technical issues, help implement new features, and find practical solutions to challenging requirements. You'll test thoroughly before anything goes live and keep clients informed throughout the process.
You'll work closely with the team during onboarding, then gradually take ownership of projects and responsibilities. Over time, you'll also become someone teammates can turn to for technical guidance and a second set of eyes.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and resolve technical issues across WordPress, Shopify, and custom web projects
- Test features and bug fixes to ensure everything works as expected before it goes live
- Handle client requests for new features and improvements
- Research and propose practical technical solutions for challenging client requests
- Manage timelines and keep clients updated on progress
- Work with developers and the team to prioritize and execute tasks
- Provide technical support and guidance to teammates as you grow into the role
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in web development, technical support, QA, or a related technical role
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, or custom web applications
- Comfortable with APIs, databases, integrations, and troubleshooting workflows
- Sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to solving problems
- Bilingual: fluent English and strong French (written and spoken). This is important, as you'll be communicating regularly with both clients and team members in both languages
- A desire to continuously learn, improve, and expand your technical skills
- Ability to work independently once you're up to speed
Education & Experience
- Degree in computer science, web development, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience working with WordPress, Shopify, or custom web platforms
- Background in a technical support, QA, or web development role
- Comfortable with hosting environments, DNS, and domain management
- Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
