Iron Horse Earthworks Inc. is currently hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for an upcoming industrial civil and earthworks project in Port Hope, Ontario.
We are looking for motivated operators with experience in civil construction, earthworks, underground utilities, grading, trenching, and working safely around existing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, rollers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material handling
- Work around underground utilities and existing infrastructure
- Follow site drawings, grades, and layout provided by survey/GPS crews
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with foremen, labourers, and pipe crews
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and productivity
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years operating experience in civil construction
- Experience with trenching, utility installation, and grading preferred
- Valid operator certifications/tickets considered an asset
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as required
- Industrial or nuclear site experience considered an asset
- Strong safety mindset and teamwork skills
