COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- 14 Days On / 14 Days Off
- 10–12 Hour Shifts
- Journeyman HVAC Technician / Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker / Journeyman Plumber: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
- 4th Year Apprentice: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
- $145 LOA per day worked
- $500 Monthly Flight Allowance
- Company Vehicle Provided to Journeyman Employees While on Shift
ABOUT WESTWARD
Westward Electric Site Services Ltd. is a growing electrical and mechanical contractor serving Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. We are looking for motivated HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical professionals to join our team and help support our commercial and industrial clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Work on rooftop units, furnaces, boilers, split systems, air handling units, ductwork, gas-fired equipment, piping systems, and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, repairs, and balancing
- Diagnose equipment and system issues and provide effective solutions
- Complete maintenance logs, service reports, and client documentation
- Assist with material take-offs and upcoming scopes of work when required
- Participate in toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, and site safety programs
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and coworkers
- Mentor and support apprentices when applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman HVAC Technician, Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, Journeyman Plumber, or 4th Year Apprentice
- Class B Gas Fitter preferred; Class A Gas Fitter considered a strong asset
- Commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical experience preferred
- Sheet metal installation experience considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, and Excel

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This is not a camp position, although some projects may require staying in camp
- Overtime paid in accordance with the applicable CLAC Collective Agreement
- Applicants must be able to successfully meet client site access requirements
