Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks, interpreting schematics, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as leadership qualities to supervise team members and contribute to facilities maintenance. The Welder will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service. We also require the ability to do a wide range of equipment repairs and maintainence on our construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform various welding operations using different techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding to fabricate and repair metal components.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
- Supervise and mentor junior welders or team members, providing guidance on safety procedures and best practices.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automated manufacturing processes.
- Utilize Computerized Systems for work orders, maintenance scheduling, and documentation.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical repairs related to welding equipment and plant machinery.
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities to ensure the safety and functionality of the manufacturing environment.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections, and repairs in compliance with company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion of projects.
- Lead safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Supervising experience preferred, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Electrical experience related to manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and general maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
