Responsibilities
- Lead utility locate projects by coordinating with field crews, clients, and local agencies to ensure accurate identification and marking of underground utilities.
- Develop quotes, detailed project plans, schedules..
- Review and QC locate reports.
- Conduct site inspections to verify utility markings and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage project documentation including progress reports, incident logs.
- Collaborate with clients, locators and construction contractors to optimize project workflows using Civil 3D and other civil engineering software.
- Oversee project timelines effectively through time management strategies ensuring on-time completion of all phases.
Skills
- Must have at least five years of hands on utility locate experience.
- Must have strong quoting, invoicing experience for all utilities.
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting construction schematics for utility layouts.
- Strong knowledge of required tools and softwares.
- Must have strong knowledge of On1call system.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply them in field operations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
- Proven experience in utility locating or underground infrastructure projects within a construction environment.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams including contractors, engineers, and clients.
