Maintenance Lead Hand – Squamish, BC
Full-Time | Seasonal | $28–$30/hour

As a Maintenance Lead Hand, you’ll support the Maintenance Supervisor in the field while helping lead your crew to deliver safe, high-quality work — season after season.

What You’ll Do

Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily field operations

Perform full-service maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, blowing

Assist with occasional softscape installs

Support winter services including snow removal and salt application

Inspect and maintain equipment; report deficiencies

Participate in safety meetings and wear required PPE

Represent Horizon professionally and deliver exceptional customer service
What You’ll Bring

Minimum 2 years of landscape industry experience (or equivalent education)

Experience operating landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers)

Knowledge of local plant life

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Team-oriented mindset with natural leadership qualities

Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
Horticulture education and industry certifications (Red Seal, CLT, Pesticide License) are assets.
Compensation & Benefits
