Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the Quality Assurance technician is responsible for, but not limited to, providing quality support to internal and external customers and to assist in maintaining quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Work within and support the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality system.

Create work instructions that allow production team members to understand expectations

Work with Production Operators to ensure all have a clear understanding of work instructions & quality expectations

Support with internal team members, suppliers & customers to ensure the successful startup and PPAP of both automotive & non-automotive parts.

Support & complete as required the quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.

Support and create quality core documentations such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Flow Charts with operational team.

Support incoming and outgoing parts, materials and completed units meet customer and quality standards.

Liaison with internal and external customer and suppliers as required to support daily manufacturing operations.

Respond and react to internal and external customer's quality concerns.

Create analysis reports for containment and initiate, support improvement to eliminate inspection

Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Minimum of two (2) years Quality Assurance experience in automotive or equivalent. (ie: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, GR&R, Control)

Experience in problem solving / process improvement techniques would be an asset. (ie: 8D, 7 steps, 5 why)

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with plastic injection molding.

Understanding of Microsoft products; strong computer skills

Strong organizational, analytical & communication skills

Detail oriented & the ability to handle multiple projects at one time

Ability to communicate professionally and properly via email & phone with internal & external customers and/or suppliers.
