Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, and order pickers, to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that products are prepared for shipment.
- Conduct heavy lifting of products as needed, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Willing to work overtime upon request
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts.
- Experience in warehouse distribution environments with a strong understanding of logistics processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management.
- Strong computer skills is an asset.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
