As a Bookkeeper Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, aiding in accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring seamless financial transactions that underlie our business’s success. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining financial records and documents
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial information
- Prepare and process invoices and receipts
- Help reconcile bank statements
- Support in the management of accounts payable and receivable
- Organize and maintain financial filing systems
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or ERP System
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards an asset but not a requirement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience: minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role supporting a team of leaders, ideally within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must respond to English verbal and written instructions promptly and accurately
- Must be able to proactively problem-solve and carry out detailed instructions to deal with problems
- Must be able to deal effectively with a variety of personalities and situations requiring confidentiality, tact, judgement, and poise
- Must have Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Must have at least 2 years of SAP experience
- Must have strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Must be able to pivot and adapt to changing priorities
