The EEG/EMG Technologist will assist with the diagnosis and treatment of patients by conducting Electroencephalographs (EEG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) independently and assist physicians with Electromyography (EMG).
Duties will include:
- Explaining test procedures to patients
- Performing EEG and NCS from physician referrals on patients independently
- Utilize the 10/20 measuring system for applying EEG electrodes
- Operating and calibrating EEG equipment according to Canadian guidelines
- Completing EEG & NCS according to Canadian guidelines
- Maintain records of all tests performed
- Maintaining adequate stock of EEG/EMG test supplies, forms and other materials
- Cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining clinical equipment and areas
- Assisting the Neurologist in performing EMG
- Maintaining professional certifications and participating in continuing education courses
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a recognized program in EEG and EMG
- Must be Canadian board registered in EEG and EMG
- Experience working in an Electro-Neuro Diagnostic Lab, performing EEGs independently, and assisting physicians with EMG is an asset
- Must have organizational and decision-making skills/knowledge
- Must have knowledge and experience with computer programs, patient information systems and data retrieval
- Good previous work and attendance record
- Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.

Salary Range: $33.46 - $41.05 per hour
Bi-Weekly Hours: 75.0 Hours Bi-Weekly / Monday to Friday, Evenings & Weekends When Necessary
