Dental Lab Aide
NORTON DENTURE CARE CENTER INC. is currently recruiting a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Lab Aide to join our team in Cold Lake, AB.

No prior dental experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training for the right candidate. Perform highly detailed, precise, and repetitive laboratory tasks in collaboration with the denturist for patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of your role, confidently handling situations and problem-solving as they arise.
- Utilize manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude to maintain high-quality standards.
- Assist with the fabrication, maintenance, and finishing of dental prosthetics, such as complete dentures, partial dentures, and mouth guards.
- Learn to pour plaster, stone, and silicone to create accurate dental models from impressions.
- Learn to process new dentures and relines, rebases, and repairs on existing dentures.
- Digital Workflow: Learn CAD/CAM workflows.
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications provided by the denturist.
- Assist with inventory management of lab supplies and materials.
- Support the team in quality-control processes to ensure restorations meet required standards.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols by sterilizing and sanitizing lab equipment, tools, and workstations.
What we are looking for:
- The ability to see“fine” colour acuity, the difference between slight shade differences.
- Physical capability, strong hands and shoulders to comfortably handle repetitive technical tasks.
- Highly dedicated, conscientious, and accountable, with extreme attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, with emphasis on coachability.
Experience:
- You do not need prior dental experience to excel in this role! We provide comprehensive, hands-on, on-the-job training. This position is a perfect fit for individuals with exceptional hand-eye coordination, fine attention to detail, or backgrounds in precision hobbies/trades, such as jewelry making, fine arts, miniature model crafting, 3D printing, or electronics repair.
- You must have steady hands and excellent fine motor skills for working with small, fragile materials.
- A commitment to accuracy; you will notice errors that measure in fractions of a millimeter. Do you see the crooked picture on the wall?
- Comfortable learning new computer software for digital laboratory scanning.
- A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a genuine eagerness to take direction and learn a new trade.
- Good spoken and written English to track laboratory cases and communicate with the team.
