Overview
P3 Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects across commercial, institutional, and multi-story residential work on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. You'll own your projects from award through closeout, backed by a solid team and clear systems , the ideal candidate brings the confidence and experience to work independently and solve problems as they arise. You'll be the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of mechanical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and specs to guide project activities
- Use project management software for scheduling, tracking, and documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep work moving and resolve issues promptly
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Oversee procurement and material logistics to meet project schedules
- Ensure work complies with BC codes, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Prepare progress updates and communicate regularly with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing mechanical construction projects, ideally across commercial, institutional, and multi-story residential
- Background as a journeyman tradesperson, EIT, or mechanical engineer
- Strong blueprint and specification reading skills
- Sound working knowledge of BC codes (Building Code, plumbing/gas/fire codes) and common mechanical systems and applications
- Confidence and experience to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Comfortable with project management software
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Based on Vancouver Island or open to relocating

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
