Job Posting: Summer Camp Assistant and Accompanist
Contracted Hours: 9am-4pm daily August 10th-14th, 2026
Compensation: $150/Day or $750 for the week.
Background Information: Choral Morphosis Arts Society is a musical program open to adults 16 and older with developmental or physical disability. We provide opportunities for singers to express themselves through the gift of music. Through singing, movement and instrument use, singers will enjoy the gift music brings. We are seeking an experienced and passionate person to join our team for our 2026 Summer Music Camp August 10-14th.
Job Description: The Assistant to the Camp Director will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our Music Camp. This individual will work closely with the Director to ensure the smooth and successful execution of camp activities, providing an enriching and inclusive experience for all our campers. They will accompany singing when necessary on piano or guitar.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany singing with piano or guitar.
- Help coordinate and facilitate activities.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment.
- Collaborate with the Camp Director in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all campers.
- Assist where the Camp Director requires.
Requirements
- Ability to read music and play piano or guitar to accompany is essential.
- Understanding of adaptive techniques to make music education accessible for individuals with various disabilities.
- Ability to create an engaging, inclusive and positive environment for all campers.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Police record and vulnerable sector check.
- First Aid is considered an asset.
